This week Rotorworks is continuing to work with our students and we are also doing some recurrent training with a commercial pilot. This involves ground work to review the Canadian Aviation Regulations, the aircraft information and some flight training. The recurrent training is an annual Transport Canada requirement for a pilot to fly commercially.

Rotorworks has also been conducting Introductory Flights for people that are interested in getting their Helicopter Pilot Licence. We do these flights for people interested in following up the information they have received with a hands on flight where they are able to fly the helicopter and get a feel for being in the air. This is a very enjoyable flight and answers a lot of questions the potential student may have.

Rotorworks enjoyed the Whitecourt Airshow last week and supported the Jetboat Races put on by the Whitecourt Riverboat Association. We flew the Athabasca River after the upstream and downstream legs of the race from Fort Assiniboine and the Fox Creek area to Whitecourt. We worked with Velocity Video out of Grande Prairie, Alberta for the filming of the races.

The Whitecourt Airshow "Wings over Whitecourt" last Wednesday went well as usual. Some of the performers included: a P51 Mustang, a Harvard, two Yak’s, the Snowbirds and more aerobatic planes.
