I trained at Rotorworks in Whitecourt for my Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence starting the summer of 2005 and finished in late spring 2006. I was working in the oilfield at the time and my schedule was 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Rotorworks Instructors worked around my schedule to accommodate my training so I was able to continue working. This helped me finance my Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence.

The Instructors were easy to work with and down to earth. They did not put themselves above anyone and they worked with the students as part of the team.

The Rotorworks Student House made living arrangements easy, as I was able to come and go on my schedule.

I also started my flying career working with Rotorworks flying a Robinson R44 in support of the oilfield in Northern Alberta. The operational training I received with Rotorworks was instrumental in getting me comfortable in the bush environment.

I would recommend Rotorworks for anyone looking for a flight school with good hands on training.
